BACKGROUND MATERIAL:
Michael Silva was born at the Earth on October 26, 2390. On December of
that year, his father was declared deceased when the exploration group that
he commanded got lost in an ihabitated planet near the Delta quadrant.
He always lived with his mother and his older brother in the Earth. Since
very young he showed a very sharp thinking and vivid imagination. He enjoys
to read about several areas of science and technology. At school, his
skills concenrning to electronics and computer programing were outstanding,
so he decided to study Robotics Engineering. The attraction by science and
his mother's work lead him to complement his studies with Genetics and
Chemistry courses. He finished his studies at the short age of 20 on 2411.
Thanks to his rigid logical thinking (sometimes compared to that of the
Vulcan) and to his long residence on Earth, Michael had the ease of
learning some other non-official languages spoken on Earth like Spanish and
French among others.
Since very young, Michael used to spend some time alone, watching the
Earth's sky with a telescope that he built on his own. Michael felt very
attracted by the universe, and wanted to travel through it, making
discoveries and finding new challenges as his father 
had done before.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE:
His personality is introvert, likes to relate with others, but also likes
to spend some time alone. He trusts very few people.
As Michael tends to be very rational, he has some difficulties in sharing
his feelings with others, and that disability has lead him to depression
and even on the edge of suicide. After that incident when he was only 16,
he received psicologycal assistance for the 
next 3 years.
His temperament is variant depending on the situation. Sometimes strong and
may have problems many times with authority, and sometimes very kind and
gentle to others when he feels sincerity and security in them.
He never fears in front of a problem, and takes them as a challenge. Never
gives up before getting what he wants.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS:
Very interested in everything related to electronics and computers. Likes
to read about the latest advances of science and technology. He likes to
listen to soft relaxing music, and play the flute. Sometimes, he still uses
his old telescope to watch at distant stars.
