BIOGRAPHY:
History

The son of Starfleet officers devoted to their careers, Tariq's mother took
a maternity leave just before his birth.
Tariq was born in Solvang, California on Earth. His mother wanted him to be born on Earth, as she was.
But he didn't see much of his parents, both Starfleet officers. He was
raised by his aunt Lorraine and uncle Martin in Las Vegas Nevada.
Public schooled, Tariq knew at an early age he wanted to follow his parents
career path, and pursued an educational path that led to easily scoring
high on placement tests, and he was admitted to Starfleet Academy right out
of high school.

Tariq Blackerby has carried himself as a professional at all times during
his career. Faced with difficult choices during the action against renegade
Starfleet officers during the incidents surrounding the Tester colony,
Tariq did not hesitate to do what was required of him to secure 
the safety of the civilian population of the colony, and vigorously
defended the colonists against outlaw officers, despite heavy odds, and
ambivalence from other members of his unit.

Tariq is considered by this office to be an officer with unlimited
potential. It is our opinion that he will be an asset to any crew that will
have him.
